You Are Not Alone in Your Ecodistress
Motherhood awakens a deep awareness of the world we will leave behind for our children. For many mothers, this heightened awareness brings not only love and connection, but also anxiety, guilt, and grief about climate change and environmental uncertainty.
If you have felt overwhelmed by eco-anxiety, conflicted about "green motherhood," or burdened by the pressure to protect a world in crisis, you are not alone.
This five-week expressive ecotherapy group is designed to help mothers process, reframe, and transform their relationship with ecodistress. Using narrative therapy, storytelling, and nature-based reflection, we will explore how to move beyond guilt and burnout into a deeper, more sustainable connection with ourselves, our children, and the Earth.
What You’ll Experience
- A supportive space to explore the emotional weight of ecodistress without shame.
- Guided expressive practices to help you externalize and reframe eco-anxiety.
- Narrative therapy techniques that empower you to reclaim your ecological story.
- A sustainable, meaningful way to engage with environmental awareness—without guilt or overwhelm.
This is not a climate action or sustainability coaching group—this is about your emotional well-being as a mother navigating eco-awareness in a rapidly changing world.
How It Works
This group meets weekly for one hour on Tuesdays from April 1 to April 29, 2025.
Each session follows a structured flow:
- A thematic introduction based on maternal ecopsychology & narrative therapy
- Guided journaling practices to explore your ecological identity
- Group discussion using narrative therapy techniques to externalize ecodistress
- A closing reflection or nature-based integration exercise
